PRIVACY AT ACES GUIDE

Privacy Policy

How HCI Hughes Company Innovations handles information when you visit AcesGuide.com, contact us, view embedded content, and manage analytics and cookie choices.

Last updated: August 24, 2026 | Effective date: August 24, 2026

Privacy at a glance

  • We collect information you choose to send us, plus limited technical and usage information needed to operate and improve the website.
  • Contact-form responses are stored in WordPress and sent to HCI so we can respond and retain a practical business record.
  • We use Jetpack Stats and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website use; where regional consent rules apply, GA4 remains off until you choose to allow analytics.
  • HCI does not sell visitor personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
  • You can review or change available privacy preferences through the Cookie Settings control in the footer and contact us about information you submitted.

Who we are and scope

HCI Hughes Company Innovations LLC (“HCI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates AcesGuide.com and the Aces Guide® brand. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect through AcesGuide.com, how we use it, how it may be shared, how long it may be kept, and the choices available to visitors.

This policy applies to AcesGuide.com. It does not govern the privacy practices of golf courses, media organizations, YouTube, or other third-party websites and services that may be linked or embedded on the site.

Information you provide

When you submit the AcesGuide.com inquiry form, we collect the information shown on the form: your name, email address, inquiry type, message, and any other information you choose to include. Your email address, inquiry type, and message are required so we can understand and respond to your request; your name is optional.

Form responses are stored in WordPress.com / Jetpack Forms and are also delivered to HCI by email. Stored responses may include the date, source form, and IP address associated with the submission. We use this information to route the inquiry, respond, maintain a practical business record, and protect the form from spam or abuse.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information—such as Social Security numbers, payment-card information, medical information, or account passwords—through the inquiry form.

Information collected automatically

When you browse AcesGuide.com, the website and its service providers may automatically process limited technical and usage information. This may include your IP address, browser and device information, visiting and referring URLs, timestamps, browser language, approximate country or location, page interactions, and performance or security information.

This information helps the website function, helps protect it from spam and abuse, and helps us understand how visitors find and use the site. HCI does not receive a personally named list of individual visitors through Jetpack Stats or Google Analytics reports.

How we use information

  • Respond to questions, requests, and business inquiries.
  • Route inquiries to the appropriate HCI or Aces Guide contact.
  • Manage prospective and existing relationships with golfers, golf courses, advertisers, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure AcesGuide.com.
  • Detect spam, fraud, abuse, and other harmful activity.
  • Understand aggregate traffic, content performance, navigation paths, and inquiry conversions.
  • Improve the website, content, products, and visitor experience.
  • Comply with applicable law and protect HCI, visitors, and others.

We do not use information collected through AcesGuide.com to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.

Analytics

Jetpack Stats

We use Jetpack Stats, an Automattic service, to understand aggregate website traffic and performance. Jetpack Stats may process information such as IP address, user agent, visited and referring URLs, timestamps, browser language, country code, page views, outbound-link clicks, and page-performance data. HCI sees aggregated reports rather than visitor IP addresses or named individual browsing profiles. Automattic states that identifiable Jetpack Stats logs are retained for 28 days to operate the feature.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to understand how visitors find and use AcesGuide.com and to measure aggregate actions such as page engagement, navigation, outbound clicks, video engagement, file downloads, and contact-form conversions. Through its default implementation, GA4 may collect the number of users, session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser and device information. When analytics storage is allowed, Google Analytics may store a client ID in a first-party cookie named _ga to distinguish users and sessions.

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, inquiry messages, or other form-field contents to Google Analytics. HCI does not currently link GA4 to Google Ads, use Google Signals, enable remarketing, use advertising personalization, or collect user-provided data for advertising. GA4 user-level and event-level data retention is configured for 14 months; standard aggregated reports may remain available longer under Google Analytics settings.

Google Analytics is treated as non-essential analytics. For visitors in the European Union and United Kingdom, our cookie-preferences tool is designed to keep GA4 off until the visitor consents. Visitors in the United States and other regions may not receive a first-visit banner, and GA4 may operate when the site loads. All visitors can use the Cookie Settings control in the footer to review or change available preferences. You can reject analytics and still use the website and submit an inquiry.

Cookies and privacy choices

AcesGuide.com and its service providers use cookies and similar technologies for different purposes. Necessary technologies support site operation, security, form delivery, and preference storage. Non-essential analytics technologies help us understand website use. External-media technologies may be used when embedded content such as YouTube is loaded.

Depending on your region, you may receive a cookie-preferences banner that allows you to accept all non-essential technologies, reject non-essential technologies, or manage your preferences by category. Visitors in the European Union and United Kingdom are presented with opt-in choices for non-essential technologies. Visitors in the United States and other regions may not see a first-visit banner. Necessary technologies remain active because the website cannot operate reliably without them. Rejecting analytics or external media does not prevent you from reading the site or using the inquiry form.

Supported browser privacy signals, including Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control, are respected through our cookie-preferences tool where technically applicable. You can also change your preferences at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

Embedded content and external links

AcesGuide.com includes video content hosted by YouTube. When a YouTube player is loaded or used, Google and YouTube may receive technical and interaction information under their own privacy practices. We use YouTube Privacy Enhanced Mode where practical and may delay loading the player until the applicable external-media consent is granted.

The site also links to golf courses, booking systems, news organizations, social platforms, and other external websites. Once you leave AcesGuide.com, the third party’s privacy policy and terms apply. HCI does not control those external services.

How information is shared

We may share or allow processing of information with service providers that help operate AcesGuide.com, including:

  • Automattic / WordPress.com / Jetpack, for hosting, forms, site administration, statistics, and related website services.
  • Akismet, for spam and abuse detection.
  • Google, for Google Analytics and YouTube embedded content.
  • Email, technology, security, professional-advisory, and support providers used to operate HCI and respond to inquiries.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate misuse, or in connection with a merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the business.

HCI does not sell or rent visitor personal information and does not currently use AcesGuide.com visitor data for targeted advertising.

Retention

We retain contact-form responses and related correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the inquiry, manage a business or partner relationship, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, protect the website, or meet legal obligations. Test, spam, duplicate, and obsolete responses should be deleted periodically.

Provider-specific retention may differ. Automattic states that identifiable Jetpack Stats logs are retained for 28 days. HCI configures GA4 user-level and event-level retention for 14 months. Aggregated analytics reports may remain available longer. We may retain information longer where required or permitted by law.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact HCI to ask what personal information you submitted through AcesGuide.com, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion of information where appropriate. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law.

Submit a request through the Contact Us page, select “Other,” and begin your message with “Privacy request:”. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity and locate the relevant record. Some information may be retained when necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business records. We will not discriminate against you for making a good-faith privacy request.

Security

HCI uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information handled through AcesGuide.com. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information through the site.

Children’s privacy

AcesGuide.com is not directed to children under 13, and HCI does not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through the site. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when AcesGuide.com, our services, our technology, or applicable requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will identify the current version. Material changes should be reviewed before they are applied to information already collected.
